It maybe the mud volcano which are quite many already in Baluchistan, and not necessarily an Island. But oceanologists and other-logists still have to determine what it is. But initial survey suggests that it indeed is an Island. Here are some pictures by a friend's friend who went there officially.
The earth has yet to dry of sea water.
Fishermen and scientists and people of nearby villages (Islands) are already there.
We're planning to camp (which is highly unlikely) on it before it disappears, the navy won't let anyone come close until it determines what is it, and which real estate mafia boss can have it.

Damn, that's pretty bold to go hang out on some land that just popped up out of the ocean like that. I think I would be a bit scared of it disappearing just as suddenly as it appeared...

Haha! Not like we're going to get to do it so no harm in saying it. ;)

If terrorism wasn't such a big problem, this Island could've been become the most tourist ever attracted in a single record holder or some by just using Lex's name.

The Navy won't anybody close to it, yet a bunch of people are standing on it? I'm really not sure I want to be on anything called a mud volcano.

Some of the people as I said are relevant people there officially, like the person and his team who took the pictures are all oceanologists, rest are fishermen or villagers of nearby islands who slipped through before Navy could cordon it off because if they hadn't, you would be seeing people having picnic on it.
We've camped countless times near mud volcanoes of Balochistan. All of them quiet or they spew out to very very short distances. Most of them are calm, just one trail of mud is seen slipping here and there.
Here's a pic of one of our star gazing camping trip near a Chandrigup mud volcano (i think that's the name).
The volcano in the backdrop.

We better put a Navy base there.

There was a 7+ richter scale earthquake in balochistan today... I'm positive it's related to the island raise.
